Roots of Pacha

After a few months of Stardew, my wife asked if there was anything similar but different, and Roots of Pacha turned out to be the answer. It swaps the isolated farm for a shared prehistoric village, so instead of working your own plot you're building wells, taming animals, and researching tools alongside the people around you. I like that it borrows a history-adjacent setting, the kind I usually only get from strategy games like Age of Empires, filtered through a much gentler lens. The seasonal rhythm and crafting loop feel instantly familiar if you've played any farm sim, which is both its strength and its ceiling. It doesn't reinvent the formula. Worth a look once Stardew starts feeling repetitive.
