Fantasy is my favourite genre, so I went in hoping for a modern stand-in for Heroes of Might and Magic and found a lot of what I wanted. You send a wielder across the map, grab resource nodes and grow your towns. Battles move to their own grid, where positioning decides most fights. The pixel art is lovely. The soundtrack is better. Fewer factions and a shorter reach left it just short of the main ten. I tried it in short evening bursts, and a map fits comfortably into one.
