Sniper Elite 5 rewards patience in a way most shooters on this list don't even attempt. I spent twenty minutes scouting a single compound before firing a shot, and the mission still surprised me twice on the way out. The WWII setting gives it a grounding the sci-fi shooters above it don't have, and that's exactly the kind of historical texture I go looking for. The X-ray kill cam is the obvious hook, but the real reason it's here is mission design that rewards replaying the same map with a completely different route. Co-op works, though it's built for two rather than a full squad. Slower pace, bigger payoff.

Sniper Elite 5 gives you and a partner large, open mission maps where you can split up, coordinate flanks, set up covering positions, and communicate your way through German-occupied France. The pacing is slower and more deliberate than anything else on this list, which makes it a genuinely different kind of co-op session.
