Subnautica 2 is in Game Preview, and you can tell. I still dropped into the water and spent an evening following lights into the deep, nervous every time something large moved past. That sense of an ocean with real depth is the best thing here. It's unfinished, with rough edges and content still to arrive, so ranking it above finished games felt wrong. Come back when it leaves preview. If you're happy exploring an early build, there's plenty of water already, and co-op is optional if you'd rather share the panic.
