Cyberpunk 2077 is the game I avoided longest on this list, because the launch reputation stuck with me long after Night City actually got fixed. That was my mistake, not the game's. On PS5 now it runs clean, even in the dense downtown blocks, and Phantom Liberty adds one of the better side-campaigns on the platform. It's first-person, which changes the feel of exploring compared to everything else ranked above it, closer to walking the city than watching a character move through it. Build variety keeps runs distinct. It's not as reactive a world as Red Dead Redemption 2, but Night City's density and atmosphere carry it just as far.
