You play Six, a small kid in a yellow raincoat, and everything inside The Maw is built at the wrong scale. Door handles sit out of reach. The Janitor's long arms feel like they cover the whole corridor. That is the whole trick, and it works because you never get a weapon to even the odds. I finished it in one late evening, around four hours, and the Janitor chase stuck with me longer than most gunfights do. It is among the least mechanically deep games on this list, and the platforming gets fiddly when a chase demands precise timing. Worth it if guns are not your thing.

Overview
About Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition
Little Nightmares is a puzzle-platform horror adventure game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Set in a mysterious world, Little Nightmares follows the journey of Six, a hungry little girl who must escape the Maw, an iron vessel inhabited by monstrous, twisted beings.
The Enhanced Edition improves upon the original release by supporting 4K resolution at 60 FPS and enhancing visual effects, including RTX reflections, improved water effects, additional particles, and volumetric lighting.
It also offers players the option to choose between Quality Mode or Performance Mode, allowing them to prioritize either visual fidelity or frame rate based on their preferences.
Story setup
Little Nightmares follows Six, a small, raincoat-clad child trapped in a mysterious underwater vessel called the Maw. The Maw is inhabited by grotesque, monstrous residents who prey on the helpless. As Six navigates through disturbing environments, she must solve puzzles and avoid being captured. The journey gradually reveals the dark and oppressive nature of the Maw and its inhabitants. Driven by hunger and desperation, Six’s actions ultimately reflect the cycle of predation within the world she inhabits.
