Descenders Next is the pick I almost left off entirely, and it's here mostly because a sports list needs at least one game that isn't chasing a broadcast license. It's downhill mountain biking with procedurally generated tracks, no career structure to speak of, no franchise mode, just runs and crashes and the occasional clean line that feels great. I gave it about an hour one evening the way I do most niche picks that catch my eye, and the physics held my attention longer than I expected. There's real skill here if you commit to it, but the lack of any structured progression means it will lose most players faster than the skateboarding pick higher on this list. Worth a look if you want something different.
