Hockey barely registers where I live. No local league, no bar full of fans, just the odd clip that shows up in my feed during playoffs. NHL 27 sold me on the sport more than any broadcast clip ever did, mostly because it captures how fast the game actually moves once you're controlling it instead of watching it. Franchise mode and Be A Pro both hold up, and HUT keeps an online scene alive if that's your thing. It's not going to convert casual football or basketball fans on presentation alone. The sport itself is simply less internationally known, and no amount of polish changes that. On pure gameplay feel, though, it's a genuinely fast, satisfying sim that deserves more attention than it gets.
