Madden 27 is the game I probably should have liked more than I did. I put more hours into College Football 27 this year, and that gap says less about Madden's quality than about which one held my attention past week one. Franchise mode is solid, Superstar mode gives you a single-player arc worth finishing, and the presentation still nails that Sunday broadcast feel with real commentary teams and camera work. On the field, though, it plays it safer than its college sibling. Fewer surprises in the playbook, fewer moments that made me want to replay a highlight. If you follow the NFL specifically and want official rosters, this is still the correct pick on Xbox. Just don't expect it to surprise you.
