Destiny 2's gunplay is still some of the best on console, and I mean that after bouncing off it twice over the years because the onboarding felt like a part-time job. The Final Shape is the story's real ending, and planned live content stopped in June 2026, so what you're buying now is a finished-feeling backlog rather than an ongoing hobby. That's actually a point in its favour if you never wanted the grind treadmill to begin with. Raids remain some of the best cooperative content in gaming when your group knows what it's doing. Getting there solo is rough. I'd only send a friend here if they're prepared to look up a guide before their first raid night.
