Don't Starve Together's art style looks exactly like the kind of thing I'd scroll past on PS Plus looking for something gentle to unwind with, and that is precisely the trap. I loaded it up expecting a cozy evening. A hound pack tore my half-built base apart on day nine, sanity meter cratering right along with it. Hunger, sanity, and the changing seasons all pile pressure on at once, and death here means starting over, not respawning nearby with your stuff intact. It's playable on PS5 through backward compatibility rather than a native build, and the top-down perspective takes some adjusting to on a big screen. Genuinely one of the harshest, most systems-dense survival games on this list, hiding behind a deceptively soft look.
