Metro Exodus Complete Edition is the slow-burn pick on this list, a survival shooter where ammo scarcity and a gas mask timer matter as much as your aim. I played it in quiet, late-evening stretches, and the mood carried me more than any individual firefight did. The shooting itself is deliberate rather than thrilling, built around scavenging and dread instead of power fantasy, which is exactly why it lands just outside the top 10 on a list scored partly on core gunplay quality. It's gorgeous on PS5 and loads fast. If you want atmosphere and a world worth walking through slowly over pure trigger-pulling satisfaction, this beats half the games ranked above it.
