Everyone told me Spiritfarer would wreck me emotionally. It just didn't, not the way the reviews promised. I still think it's lovely to look at and sail through, all soft pastels and gentle music, and playing it with someone else adds real value: a second pair of hands for gathering, crafting, and managing the boat while you steer the story forward. The catch is real. Player two is along for the ride rather than an equal partner, and there's no way around that structurally. Want a management sim you both drive equally? Look elsewhere on this list. Want company while you ferry spirits to the afterlife? It's still worth the trip.
