Tetris 99 is what I load up when I have exactly fifteen minutes between putting the kids to bed and going to sleep myself. Ninety-nine players drop into the same match, and most games are over inside ten minutes even at the sharp end. It comes bundled with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, so there's no extra purchase between you and a match. Quick queue. No coordination needed, just you against ninety-eight strangers and a targeting reticle deciding who sends garbage your way. The event cups rotate Nintendo crossover themes every few weeks, keeping a 2019 release feel current. The skill ceiling is real if you want to chase it, but losing round one and queuing again immediately works fine too.
