About Xenoblade Chronicles 3

A vast world awaits in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the next game in the acclaimed RPG series from developer Monolithsoft. Players will step into the roles of protagonists Noah and Mio amid turmoil between the hostile nations of Keves and Agnus. Six characters hailing from those nations will take part in a grand tale with “life” as its central theme. Explore a new world that will connect the futures of both Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Story setup
The story unfolds in Aionios, a world locked in endless war between the rival nations of Keves and Agnus. Their armies are made up of engineered soldiers granted only ten years of life, who fight and die to keep their colonies' Flame Clocks burning. Among them are off-seers, soldiers entrusted with playing flutes to send off the fallen. Two such off-seers stand at the heart of the tale: Noah of Keves and Mio of Agnus, each traveling with their own squad of comrades. When the two enemy groups clash and are then caught in a deadly attack, a mysterious power called Ouroboros binds their fates together. Forced to become allies and hunted by both nations, Noah, Mio, and their companions set out to uncover the truth behind the war that has consumed their world.

Advice for consumers This game has received a PEGI 12 because it features moderate violence, scenes of moderate horror, and use of bad language. Not suitable for persons under 12 years of age. Brief outline of the game Sci-fi role-playing game, set on a planet inhabited by two warring factions, in which players take on the roles of groups of soldiers from both sides. Content specific issues This game features non-realistic moderate violence involving human and fantasy characters. When human characters are hit, they flash and their health gauges reduce. When defeated, they stagger, fall down and remain on the ground for a short time before dissolving and disappearing. Some cutscenes also feature violence although the camera cuts away at crucial moments, disguising the violence. There is a scene in which a character removes his own eye. While the extraction is not shown, the bloody eye socket is seen. The game also includes use of bad language, including 'bastard', 'bitch', 'shit', 'piss' and 'bloody'. Other issues There is a scene in which male and female characters bathe. However, steam covers their bodies and nothing sexual occurs. This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of an expansion pass, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
