Ember Knights is a four-player co-op roguelite that rewards groups who come back repeatedly more than groups who sit down for a single session. The first run feels fast and simple. By the fourth or fifth, you are building around specific synergies and coordinating which power-ups your group takes in each room. That escalating complexity is exactly what keeps it interesting over time, and it is the reason it made the honorable mentions rather than getting ignored entirely. The genre specificity is what keeps it out of the top ten. If your group already knows it likes co-op roguelites, though, this is worth your attention.
